Founded and based on the research of Andrew Thrasher, CMT, Thrasher Analytics specializes is volatility timing, sector and economic trends, as well as macro technical analysis of equity, fixed income, commodity, and currency markets.
Built not as a specific trade generating service, Thrasher Analytics provides tools and insights to subscribers that may be used in a multitude of ways within their own portfolio management structure and process. For example, when the Volatility Risk Trigger issues an alert that a potential spike in the Volatility Index may soon occur, some subscribers may use that information to raise cash or initiate a risk management protocol for their or their clients capital, while others may seek to capitalize on the opportunity of an increase in market volatility. Andrew Thrasher, CMT serves as the Portfolio Manager for an Indiana-based wealth management firm, managing the assets of the firm’s high-net-worth clients. Mr. Thrasher holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and as well as the Chartered Market Technician designation. Andrew is active on social media (@andrewthrasher on Twitter) sharing insights related to the market. As the 2017 winner of the Charles H. Dow Award from the CMT Association for his research paper titled, “Forecasting a Volatility Tsunami”, Mr. Thrasher has spent extensive time analyzing the volatility market and is viewed as an expert on the topic among his peers. Mr. Thrasher is often cited in financial press for his market-related and volatility insights.

Thrasher Analytics was created to provide risk management tools to portfolio managers, financial advisors, and investment institutions that we believe are currently lacking within the marketplace. This does not mean that individual investors won’t benefit from our newsletter and analysis. While we do our best to use plain and easy to understand language in our discussions, annotations and analysis, some degree of prior investment education would likely be beneficial to the end-user.

Very rarely do we offer trial subscriptions. However, we feel to fully evaluate our content, it should be reviewed over a several month period of time. Due to the nature of unpredictability of how often our premier offering, the Volatility Risk Trigger (VRT) would produce signals, a short-term trial subscription would not offer a thorough review of what we provide our standard subscribers. Our mission is to create long-term relationships with our subscribers, providing them with the best quality risk management-focused research available. We believe this is only possible by receiving our content for at least 3 months.
Each subscriber will receive an emailed newsletter at least twice a month that will provide a market overview, detailed analysis of the major U.S. sectors and industries, curated charts with accompanying annotations and descriptions, updates to the Thrasher Analytics Economic Dashboard and Volatility Risk Trigger (VRT), as well as any other pertinent information we feel our subscribers would be well-served in reading about.
There are several other projects we are working on to add to our current offering, such as volatility triggers for international equity markets and U.S. sectors. All current subscribers would receive any future research and add-on signals at no additional cost.
